A lawsuit alleging that singer Marilyn Manson sexually assaulted a former assistant, which was dismissed last month, has now been revived.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran allowed a motion on Monday to reconsider the lawsuit filed by Ashley Walters against Manson—whose real name is Brian Warner—during a hearing in Los Angeles.

Although the case was dismissed by Cochran himself last month, the judge now cited a newly enacted California state law as of this month, Assembly Bill 250, which provides an extension of the statute of limitations for alleged victims to file claims.
Ashley filed the lawsuit in 2021, claiming Warner sexually assaulted her after they connected through social media.

According to her, she went to Warner’s home under the pretext of a collaboration before alleging she was pushed onto a bed and molested.
Despite managing to escape, Ashley claims the abuse continued after she accepted a job offer to work as Warner’s assistant.

Warner, however, denies all allegations.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Warner’s attorney, Howard King, denied his client was involved in any of the alleged assaults.
“The undeniable fact is that Mr. Warner has never committed any sexual wrongdoing.
Although the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office previously decided not to file criminal charges after a four-year investigation, the reopening of this civil lawsuit has once again sparked global attention.
Additionally, Warner faces several other accusations from multiple women, including his former fiancée and fellow artists. – BOOM!
