Famous South Korean actor and singer, Cha Eun Woo, has come forward to apologize regarding a tax evasion scandal reaching 20 billion won (approximately RM55 million).

Through a post featuring a plain black image, Cha Eun-woo uploaded a long and emotional statement on his social media platform.
“I sincerely bow my head and apologize for causing concern and disappointment to many people,” he stated on his social media.
He also claimed that his military service was by no means a deliberate choice to avoid the controversy.
“Last year, I faced a situation where I could no longer postpone my military service, and as a result, I enlisted without being able to fully complete the tax audit procedures,” he said.

He promised to be more responsible in complying with all tax-related procedures in the future.
“In addition, I will humbly accept the final judgment made by the relevant authorities and bear full responsibility for the consequences that follow,” he said.– BOOM!
