Singer Datuk Awie admitted that he felt lost after the passing of the late Mamat Khalid, a highly respected director.

He said he has no intention of returning to acting, even though he still deeply misses being on set.
“I will leave acting to those who are more suitable. It’s not that I don’t want to; I still want and miss the world of acting.
I miss the late Mamat Khalid. But now that he’s gone, I feel lost and unmotivated,” he told mStar.

According to Awie, whose real name is Ahmad Azhar Othman, 58, he received several offers to star in films but had to decline them due to his existing commitments to his singing career and a busy concert schedule.
The Wings vocalist explained that the decision was not because he was being selective, but to ensure that the momentum he had built with his band was not disrupted.
“There were indeed good film offers, but I simply could not accept them,” he said.

At the same time, Awie said he does not want to be seen as someone who chases too many things at once, giving an impression of being greedy.
However, he added that the door to acting is not completely closed if the project is produced by his own company, Rumah Produksi Merah. -BOOM!
