Italian fashion icon, Valentino Garavani, has passed away at the age of 93, leaving an enduring legacy in the fashion world. He was renowned for his elegant designs and the iconic red color, Valentino Red, a symbol of elegance and luxury.
According to his foundation on Instagram, Maison Valentino:
“Valentino Garavani passed away today at his stylish Roman residence, surrounded by loved ones.”

Deutsche Welle reported that the funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. (10:00 GMT) on Friday in Rome.
The Italian Prime Minister was among the first to pay tribute, praising Valentino as an Italian fashion icon and stating that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations:
“Valentino, an undisputed master of style and elegance and an eternal symbol of Italian haute couture. Today, Italy loses a legend, but his legacy will continue to inspire generations. Thank you for everything.”

Born on May 11, 1932 in Voghera, Italy, Valentino began his fashion career in Paris before returning to Italy to establish his own fashion house. He retired in 2008, yet his name and designs remain global fashion references.
