The marital turmoil between celebrity couple Kamal Adli and Uqasha Senrose has finally come to an end after they were officially divorced with one talaq at the Federal Territories Syariah Court in Kuala Lumpur today.
The divorce was pronounced in a closed-door proceeding before Syariah Judge Siti Noraini Mohd Ali at around 1pm.
The court allowed the divorce application filed by Uqasha under Section 47 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment (State of Selangor) 2003.
According to mStar, on December 18, the court had advised Kamal to pronounce the divorce following the failure of the Conciliatory Committee (JKP) to reach a resolution.
However, Uqasha’s lawyer stated that the pronouncement could not be carried out at the time as Kamal was still keen on saving the marriage.
The court also ruled that shiqaq, or prolonged marital conflict, existed in their relationship.
Kamal and Uqasha tied the knot on November 4 last year in a private ceremony held in Pahang. The actress filed for divorce on October 1, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple share a daughter, Hawra Uqaira, who is currently 1 year and 8 months old. –Boom!
