Popular actor Sharnaaz Ahmad has openly called out the judging panel of the 34th Malaysian Film Festival (FFM34), urging them to evaluate films based on true quality rather than being influenced by popularity or international success.

He stressed that a prestigious award like FFM should serve as a platform that genuinely recognizes the best work of local talents, not merely celebrate big names.

Sharnaaz, who is also nominated for his role in the film “Blood Brothers: Bara Naga,” emphasized that victory should be determined by acting strength, storyline, and the message conveyed, not by social media influence or public attention.

He further added that the local film industry can only progress if evaluations are made honestly and professionally. Sharnaaz also expressed hope that the judges would review each work with an open heart and assess it based on true effort and artistic merit. — BOOM!
