Veteran composer, Man Senoi and his wife, Mama Rap, are considering legal action against the group 4U2C and the organizers of the WE 4U2C Live in Concert, scheduled to take place in Petaling Jaya this September.
Quoting a report from Berita Harian, Man Senoi, whose real name is Othman Masri, 72, claimed that no formal meetings or discussions have been held by 4U2C or the concert organizers regarding the use of songs owned by his recording company, Zman Production.

“Nobody from their side has said anything yet.
I’m still waiting, I’m not the one at fault. If you want to hold a big concert, use some sense.
Whose songs are you planning to perform?” he said.
He added that the original recordings of 4U2C’s songs, set to be performed at the concert, belong to Zman Production and cannot be used without permission.
“We’re not members of Public Performance Malaysia (PPM), so they have to come to us.
If everything follows the proper channels, we have no issue,” he added.
Meanwhile, Mama Rap, or Ramziah Mohamed Noor, 62, described the hip-hop group as their “number one enemy” after their relationship broke down over 30 years ago.

“We haven’t had any contact since they left us in 1993.
We haven’t met a single one of them since then,” she added.
The couple also questioned how the concert could proceed if as many as 25 songs set to be performed belong to Zman Production.
“What’s so hard about coming to meet us, who are already elderly?
Put your ego aside, don’t let this ruin their own concert,” Man Senoi stressed.
Previously, Man Senoi and Mama Rap had revealed that they still hold full copyright over 4U2C’s songs from the group’s glory days under their label in the early 1990s. – BOOM!
