Veteran actress Mak Jah has revealed her harrowing experience of allegedly enduring domestic violence and being deprived of financial support for 15 years.
She disclosed that throughout the marriage, her former husband was allegedly negligent in providing financial maintenance, which led to severe financial and mental stress.
Mak Jah shared her story during the Hitam Putih podcast on Suhan Channel on December 15, hosted by Datuk Rosyam Nor and Erra Fazira.
Mak Jah expressed deep disappointment over the neglect of her rightful financial support, saying it felt as though even her own money was fully controlled by her former husband.
“His money was his money… even our money felt like it was his,” she said.
She explained that she was unable to end the suffering earlier due to financial constraints, which left her in a state of uncertainty and emotional limbo since her early 30s. -Boom!
